Rule Set

  • Take a moment to read through our rules carefully. Remember: we’re all here to have fun in a competitive environment.

  • Though things can get intense, keep in mind that airsoft is just a game! The main goal is to have fun, play with friends, and enjoy the experience.

Safety

  • To maintain a safe environment while in , all participants must use a reinforced nylon/rubber barrel bag with retention on their replica.

  • Removing eye protection while on the field is strictly prohibited. If your eyewear fogs up, head to a no-fire zone to defog.

  • PLEASE DRIVE SAFELY when coming to and from the field. Always keep your airsoft guns in a gun bag while transporting.

  • Players must be 10 years old or older to play.

Waiver

  • All players are required to sign a digital waiver. Minors must have their waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. Our digital waiver system makes this easy. Click here.

Eye / Face Protection

  • All eye protection must be fully sealed (rubber, plastic, or foam), rated to resist impacts (ANSI Z87+), and have retention that keeps the eye protection tight to your face.

  • The gasket must fully seal to your face (no gaps). Gaskets must be factory-designed for the eye pro.

  • Mesh goggles are not allowed another form of eye protection is worn underneath (e.g. safety glasses).

  • Staff may prohibit certain styles of eye protection if there are gaps in the seal due to face/head shape or if the eye pro is unknown or not to standard.

Age Restrictions

  • 10-11 year old; Full seal goggles (single-pane lens) + nose, ears, and mouth covered (recommend a full paintball mask)

  • 12-15 year  old; Full seal glasses full seal goggles + nose and mouth covering

  • 16-17 year old; Full seal glasses full seal goggles + mouth covering / mouth guard

  • 18+ year old; Full seal glasses full seal goggles (lower face protection recommended)

FPS / Velocity Rules

Feet Per Second Measurement

  • All replicas are chronographed using either 0.20 g, 0.40 g, or 0.45 g BBs, at the field’s discretion.

  • HPA rifles, gas rifles, gas/COâ‚‚ revolvers, and non-blowback pistols must be chronographed with 0.40 g BBs to account for joule creep, and must remain under the joule limit. HPA guns are subject to having tournament locks applied to their regulators.

  • Rate of Fire: No weapon may fire more than 25 rounds per second.

Limits by Weapon Type

  • SMGs / Rifles / LMGs - ≤ 420 FPS (0.20 g) / 1.64 J - 25 ft MED on semi / 50 ft MED on full auto

  • Qualifying DMR's - ≤ 475 FPS (0.20 g) / 2.09 J - 50 ft MED 

  • Qualifying MMG's - ≤ 475 FPS (0.20 g) / 2.09 J - 75 ft MED 

  • Bolt-Action Sniper Rifles - ≤ 388 FPS (0.40 g) / 2.88 J - 75 ft MED 

  • Grenade Shower Shells -  - 25ft MED

WEAPON CLASS QUALIFICATIONS

  • If your weapon replicates a lower energy category, it will receive the lower MED from that category.

LMG Class

  • Minimum requirements: Must be faithful replicas of one of the listed firearms:
    M249 / MK46 variants, RPD, RPK variants, M27 IAR (16" version), L86 LSW, AUG HBAR, HK23, Shrike-style ARs (e.g. Krytac LMG), Stoner 63, KAC Stoner LMG, MG4, Microgun, MG36, Colt LMG, Galil ARM.

DMR Class

  • Minimum requirements: 16" overall barrel length including flash hider, or approx. 14.5" barrel before a mock suppressor.
    Examples: SR25, PSG1, G3A3 / G3A4 / G3SG1, Dragunov, G28 / HK417, SCAR-H SSR / Mk20, M14 / EBR.
    Not qualifying: M16, MK12 SPR, G3SAS / MC51, VSS / VAL, SCAR-L, Ruger 10/22, SCAR-H CQB.

MMG Class

  • Minimum requirements: Replicas of full-auto machine guns of heavier caliber.
    Examples: PKM, BAR, M1919, MG42, M60, M240, Mk48, HK21, M134 Minigun.
    Not qualifying: M249 / SAW, Stoner LMG, RPK, RPD, M27 IAR, MG36, L86 LSW, Shrike/Krytac LMG, Microgun.

GAMEPLAY

Game Briefings

  • All players are expected to attend briefings for games they intend to play. Failure to attend may bar participation in that game.

No-Fire Zones

  • The no-fire zone includes the parking lot, staging area, and pro-shop.

  • Airsoft guns must have weapons on safe, magazines removed, chambers empty, and barrel bags on entering the no-fire zone.

  • Before leaving the no-fire zone to enter the field, all players must have age-appropriate eye & face protection on.

  • Players eye & face protection while on the field; violation leads to removal from gameplay.

Boundaries

  • All boundaries are clearly marked with yellow caution tape. There is netting across the north of the field and the rest of the field limits are within the fenced area.

Wildlife

  • There is wildlife on the field, including snakes, deer, and cattle. Do not interact with wildlife.

  • If wildlife is in a populated area, call a marshal to handle it.

Field Buildings, Obstacles & Props

  • Do treat the field like a parkour course—avoid climbing structures.

  • There are props, vehicles, and lighting fixtures on the field. Do not break, move, or shoot these objects unless explicitly declared “in play” for a particular game.

Lost & Found / Grenade

  • Label your personal items. Lost items should be turned into the checkout counter (Lost & Found box).

  • If you find something that isn’t yours, hand it over to a field marshal or staff.

  • Do not pick up airsoft grenades unless you are the thrower. Only the original thrower may retrieve their grenades.

Field Marshals

  • Field marshals are the ultimate authority on the field. They exist to ensure players have a fun and safe experience.

  • Comply respectfully with marshal requests.

  • In case of rule infractions or emergencies, marshals may ask for your name, call you out as dead, send you back to respawn, or sit you out for the game or day.

Zero Tolerance Policy

  • We enforce a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for verbal or physical aggression. If things get heated, players are encouraged to walk off the field, cool off, and bring issues to field staff rather than escalate.
    This includes but is not limited to:

  • Threats, slurs, aggressive or condescending language or gestures

  • Physical aggression, unwanted contact, or fighting

  • Theft from other players or facility

  • Bullying, harassment, or demeaning behavior

  • Any participant who becomes a danger to themselves or others will be immediately ejected

Foul Language

  • Keep language to a PG rating at all times to help maintain a family-friendly environment.

Blindman / Real Life Situation

  • If there is a serious situation (threat to life, limb, or eyes), someone may call , which stops all airsoft activity immediately.

  • Players should echo the “BLIND MAN” call and freeze in place.

  • Unless you have professional medical training, remain where you are until field staff assess.

  • After the situation is resolved, gameplay will resume with a “GAME ON” call.

Hit Calling

  • Airsoft is an honor sport: any hit anywhere on a player’s body or gear counts as a hit.

  • Ricochets, gun hits, or friendly fire .

  • If you are unsure whether you were hit, call it out. When in doubt—call it.

  • When hit, a player should yell “HIT,” raise their dead rag, and assume a nonthreatening posture (kneel, sit, or lie down). Dead players may with active players.

Dead Man Walking

  • If you’re caught in the middle of a firefight while dead, you may say and move out of the way until the fight subsides. Then you may return to your hit location.

Dead Rags

  • Every player carry dead rags (high-visibility red, orange, pink, yellow, or green) in separate locations.

  • If one dead rag is lost, you still have a second to signal your status.

  • Do wear red head coverings while alive, as this causes confusion.

  • Dead rags must be at least 12" × 12" in size.

Respawn & Medics

  • is a designated area where dead players walk to tap and return to life. Players must go all the way to respawn; you may not stop partway.

  • are special players who may heal dead friendly players by tapping them for 30 full seconds.

  • Any player may move a dead friendly by maintaining physical contact.

  • Medics may shoot or move while healing.

Rules of Engagement

  • Aim for center mass whenever possible.

  • Blind firing is prohibited: weapons must be shouldered and players able to aim down sights.

  • Inside buildings, all weapons must be on mode. Full auto is prohibited within 50 feet.

  • Do not shoot through small holes or cracks. If your head can fit through an opening, so can bullets.

Chronograph

  • Every time you come to the field, you must have your gun chronographed— you were chronoed previously.

  • If playing both days in a weekend, chrono on Saturday Sunday.

PROHIBITED ITEMS & CONDUCT

Prohibited Items

  • Firearms or live ammunition

  • Non-biodegradable BBs

  • Any blade longer than 4 inches

  • Mace, pepper spray, or any other nonlethal weapon

  • Improvised airsoft grenades

  • Pyrotechnic devices unless made for airsoft and approved before the start of every game (example, Enola Gaye EG25, EG67)

  • Airsoft Innovations 40Mike

  • Binary triggers

  • Potato guns or any compressed-air launcher

  • Riot shields or ballistic shields

  • Alcohol or drugs on property (anyone believed under influence will be asked to leave)

Prohibited Conduct

  • Violation of any of the following may result in immediate expulsion:

  • Verbally aggressive language: threats, slurs, vulgar gestures, condescending attitude

  • Physical aggression, unwanted touching, fighting, or shooting outside gameplay

  • Theft — from other players or from the facility

  • Bullying or demeaning behavior

  • Becoming a danger to oneself or others

Media / Filming Rules

Players with signed waivers are permitted to capture photos or videos on the field unless otherwise directed.

  • Prohibited content in media (photos/videos) includes:

    • Unsafe or dangerous activities

    • Misuse of equipment

    • Breaches of rules or regulations

    • Profanity, hate speech, or hate symbols

    • Condescending language

    • Publicly humiliating others

    • Illegal activities

    • Nudity or sexually explicit content

  • Staged content is permitted if done in good faith, does not violate rules, does not trick viewers, and doesn’t interrupt gameplay.

  • If players violate field rules while filming, corrective action may include revocation of filming privileges or permanent ban.

  • Players must not harass or degrade the experience of others for the sake of content creation.

  • All players are expected to pay admission fees. Anyone found playing without paying will be sent home and permanently banned.

PATCHES, STICKERS & CLOTHING

  • At Salvo Operations, we strive for an inclusive environment, including with younger players (as young as 10). The following are not permitted on-field:

    1. Clothing, patches, or stickers with hate symbols.

    2. Clothing, patches, or stickers with excessive profanity.

    3. Clothing, patches, or stickers with sexually explicit content.
